*warning. Mushy stuff lies ahead*
Here is my timeline:
I met him on a Monday, a blind date.
Decided to marry on Friday of the same week
Married five months later (no, we didn’t ‘have to’)
Another blogger posted a question for her followers: “Did you marry your Edward?”
If the question means, does my breath still catch when he smiles at me from across the room, then I would say the answer is Yes.
We were both 19.
We celebrate our 38th wedding anniversary this year.
Btw, since we are both strong-willed people, the occasional Billy Martin episodes do happen, i.e. standing toe-to-toe kicking dirt on the others shoes. *G*
Did you marry your soul mate?
Awe! That is so sweet!
ReplyDeleteYes, I married my soul mate. We met when we were 12, dated all through high school, waited 2 years for him to serve a mission for our church and then married at 22. Well, I'd been 23 for 2 days.
He's still my best friend, the one whose opinion matters most, the one whose touch makes me feel alive. We've only been married 15 years this year, but we've known each other for 25. That's more than half of my whole life.
Oh, wow. That is such an awesome romantic story. Bless you and your hubby.
ReplyDeleteI'm not married but I've living with my soul mate for the last 16 years.

ReplyDeleteDo you have a soul mate, an Edward or Edwina?
LOL
By "Edward," I'm assuming you mean Cullen.
ReplyDeleteIf so, then yes. Funny, when I was reading the Twilight series and explained what it was about to my hubby, he said "Oh, I know exactly how that vampire guy feels. I want to devour you and have to constantly hold myself back!" LOL
I don't know how romantic that is but it's nice to know that he still feels that way about me after 15 years, and I definetely still get butterflies when he looks at me a certain way.
I can't imagine a better match for me in this world and I'm a bit of a challenge, so I guess the answer is "Yes" I did.
I love the story of how you met your husband and how you married so quickly. Why wait when you know it's right? Thank you for sharing this. I'm enjoying getting to know you better.
Have a wonderful day! :)
Sweet story, sweet life :)
ReplyDeleteI thought I met my soul mate with my first husband *facepalm*
With my second husband, I know he' not my soul mate but we are good partners, have beautiful children together, and enjoy each other's company.

Aww, what a great story! And yes, I did marry my soulmate. Been together for over half of my life now. That's all I'm saying; anything more would give away my age. HA.
ReplyDeleteI married a great man! I think one can feel as connected as they want or disconnected as they want to their mate...so for now ...the connection is soul mate...and I will choose to keep it that way. Here from A to Z! I like that picture! cute cute cute!

ReplyDeleteLovely post! Yes, I married my soul mate. My "Edward" and I have been married for 34 years. Opposites in every way...a perfect match.
ReplyDeleteYes I did but he's no longer with me. Marriage wasn't very long but there's always eternity o look forward to. :0)
