  2. Hello! I'm new to your blog from the critique blogfest, and I'm happy to meet you!

Your blog is easy to read, but I wonder what is the most important thing about your blog? Is it the crit group featured in the upper left corner? Be sure to have your most important items featured at the top. And, I agree with Tara: it'd be nice to see a larger picture of you somewhere near the top of your blog. :)

    1. Thanks for the crit!

But believe me, you don't want a bigger picture of me.
However, I did max out the one of me as the bunny killer. Top, left. Courtesy of my maniac, little-photoshopping horror of a brother.

  3. I like the dark fiery look you're going for. I only have two suggestions. 1st your side-bars really overwhelm me. I think you could take some things out and make the font just a little bit smaller (we can still read it, I promise) Like your list of tags, which really isn't useful as a user of this blog. The other thing is, your banner isn't centered. This can be solved two ways. 1 strip down your side bars and make the whole format shorter or create a longer banner. I'm not joining the blog-hop but I would love it if you came over and critiqued my blog as well :)

One more thing: you don't need word verification. Blogger has a great folder that catches spam and it's time consuming to fill that out every time someone visit's your blog. You must be in the old blogger layout to turn it off (just google a how to if you need help ^_^)

I had no idea there was a word verification. *beats head on wall*
Thanks big time for that and the other suggestions.

      Super.

  4. Hi, I'm loving your blog. You've got a witty sense of humour that it thought provoking. I like how you use mainly shorter posts to get a simple concise message across.

On my 10 inch netbook screen the page becomes stretched and makes navigation a little challenging. The page overwhelmed me a little at first because I didn't quite know whyere to look. There are a lot of lists.

On the page 'Voices in my Head' there are a variety of fonts/sizes.

I love that you want to be Laura Ingalls Wilder. I adored her books when I was younger. I told my careers advisor that my ambition in life was to own a goat. I think it's because goats represent something about the way I want to live my life.

On the 'blog of fire' page why don't you include a list of people who have recieved it and a little information about it as an award.

Keep writing. I look forward to reading more.

    1. Har, har. I wonder why.
Actually, I liked your sidebar layout showing your avid followers. Imitation is the best praise and hence the right-hand sidebar. (smaller though. :)

  7. I love the fire background and dark text area. I'm also trying to thin out my sidebars. Good luck!

Other than that, you know you and your blogs are some of my favorites. ;)

  8. I like your header. There is too much going on in your columns (you could get rid of the labels and perhaps create a page for recommended reading).
