Songs Sunday

Music – I love almost every kind.
 Classic, Country, Rock.
Two sounds I am not crazy about are Rap and the old, twangy country-western and yes, I do find it humorous to pair them together.
My love, my passion is Rock, and let me say, right here and now, Iron Butterfly’s Inna Godda Davida is the BEST rock n roll song Eeevaaaa. Don't even try to argue with me on that factoid.
The songs that put the move to my feet – and the treadmill to turn – is what I’m talking about.
  • Nickelback’s Just To Get High
  • Lady Gaga and Bad Romance
  • Finger Eleven’s Paralyzer
This week’s recommendation is a new, self-titled album by My Darkest Days. It is absolutely stunning.
Discovered by my all-time favorite, Nickelback’s smoky-voiced singer, Chad Kroeger, this band’s album is enough to give all us closet rockers a kick.
Highly recommended.

Beta Readers

Calling all Beta Readers.
If a willing soul wants to swap chapters, query examples, synopsis, first page, etc, this is the place for you.
I keep wearing mine out…er, not really. One got herself pregnant and another has family problems and neither have a MS to trade at this time so the help was very one-sided anyway.
My writerly self is properly appalled at my misfortune, but I accept their defection with grace and mutter under my breath when they can’t hear me.
Any takers? I write urban fantasy but read nearly everything, crit regularly on MSFV, and blog with abandon.
I am a ‘fresh eye’ only and my opinion should be taken as that not as a professional.
Shoot me an email or comment and, together, maybe we can create some Magic.

Seeking the Write Life: Slaying the Mythical Beast

Seeking the Write Life: Slaying the Mythical Beast

Gotta query that attracted an agent? Used it to nab a book contract that made you famous beyond all expectation?

Aimee L Salter has a request. Will you share the winning query so she can post it on her blog?

Excellent idea and I hope she has lots of examples soon.
